Doris Kim Sung: Metal that breathes

Perhaps this is a solution to a problem that we don’t have, but, there is definitely and aesthetic quality to this material that gives a building a fourth dimension and enables to appear to ‘live’. Although this may not necessarily be completly useful at the moment, I think Kim Sung is on to something. We need buildings that respond, that are designed with materiality at the centre, not necessarily always relying on technology and computers to dictate how the building functions. n
